Vision Statement

To see local coffee shops across the region engaging their communities with high-quality coffee and espresso drinks on well-maintained equipment, and training others to do the same.

Mission Statement

To equip local cafés, churches, and nonprofits with the tools, training, and tech support needed to run a sustainable specialty coffee shop.

My Story

Specialty coffee peaked my interested in my college dorm room when I made my own Chemex brewer out of cardboard, a shoe lace, and a flower vase from a local thrift store. It was there that I fell in love with the process of making coffee just as much as I enjoyed the taste, and after being introduced to properly extracted espresso and perfectly steamed milk a few months later, I never looked back.

I started Lyon Espresso Services in July of 2025, first wanting to understand the inner workings of my espresso machine at the Ember Coffeehouse in Grand Forks, ND. Through a series of open doors and opportunities for furthering my education in this area, I was certified by the Specialty Coffee Association of America with a fundamental knowledge of electricity, hydraulics, plumbing, and water purification. I am also a certified reseller of equipment and parts for La Marzocco USA.

Today, I am committed to sharing this passion with others in my region through my knowledge and expertise in cafe startup and management, coffee brewing, and equipment maintenance.
